August 16th, 8 pm IST: Warm-ups for Choir: Techniques to Improve Your Choir's Sound
Are you finding that your choirs continue to learn repertoire, but aren't improving their sound? Choral warm-ups are the best time for a choir to make technical improvements throughout the year. In this presentation, Dr. Luethi will discuss the different categories of warm-ups, the reason for each, and provide real-time demonstrations. Participants will leave with new ideas and learn how to formulate a plan to improve their choir's technical abilities.
August 23rd, 8 pm IST: The Choral Rehearsal Grid: A Systematic Approach to Planning Repertoire and Rehearsals
The rehearsal grid is a tool to help you organize your rehearsals, plan efficient use of your time, and ensure you have enough rehearsal to prepare your literature. The grid is an effective means to plan most of your semester while still remaining agile. It can provide insight to effectively use your time toward upcoming goals and to plan far enough ahead that you will never be caught off-guard by a looming performance. During this webinar we’ll discuss the uses of the grid, how to put one together, and offer a template to create your own!
August 30th, 8 pm IST: Choral Conducting Masterclass
In this interactive session, Dr. Luethi will talk about gesture, articulation, dynamics, freedom in movement, and how to get the best out of your choirs. Participants will witness practical examples and videos on conductors to understand the art of conducting at a deeper level.
