NAfME and WMEA

WMEA is the first overseas Federated Affiliate for NAfME and promises a world of resources for music educators in India. Formed in 1907, National Association for Music Education (NAfME) is the world’s largest non-profit music education organization. Based in the USA, NAfME has over 1,20,000 members, and has worked to ensure that every student has access to a well-balanced, comprehensive, and high quality program of music instruction taught by qualified teachers. NAfME’s activities and resources have been largely responsible for the establishment of music education as a profession, for the promotion and guidance of music study as an integral part of the school curriculum. The membership for India is highly subsidized with full access to the online journals, lesson plans, music selections, online courses, etc. NAfME will also develop many new resources specially tailored to fit the Indian audience.
